Improve Road infrastructure & Surrounding Before Approving NEW HOUSES in Aylesbury

Statement:

We undersigned petition for council to act now to improve infrastructure  before approving all new house building projects in Aylesbury.

Justification:

I am concerned about the traffic build-up in Aylesbury area due to the number of new houses getting built each year.

Please consider approving all new house project approvals immediately and scrutinise developers plans with fine tooth pick.

Examples of concerns include a proposal to demolish a farmhouse and associated barn near Berryfields (Listed Building), which will lead to concerns of noise and further traffic/highways issues. Associated issues include:
1.) Additional buildings on an already built up area would reduce appeal even further.
2.) Current road infrastructure already at a choking point making Berryfields departures each morning a laborious task as it is, without even considering the additional impact of the Abbey homes construction and on-going Taylor Wimpey's developments will have on the current road infrastructure.
3.) it seems a bit too convenient that an empty, listed, building caught fire next to where the developer also has current development going on and suddenly we have a planning permission to develop at that site.

There is also a proposal for part parcels HW11, HW12 and HW13 Berryfields MDA to be developed with 113 dwellings including parking, garaging, roads, landscaping and associated works, which will lead to concerns of noise and further traffic/highways. Associated issues:
1.) Additional buildings on an already built up area would reduce appeal even further.
2.) Current road infrastructure already at a choking point making Berryfields departures each morning a laborious task as it is, without even considering the additional impact of the Abbey homes construction and on-going Taylor Wimpey's developments will have on the current road infrastructure.
3.) Building on flood plain but on application not declared as a flood plain and very close to rail link and main road.
4) I am suspecting that developers will group all or most of the affordable housing quota in this part of the development to please the Council to get permission by proposing 34 affordable house on a single phase. Ideally social housing should be scattered across all the phases of Berryfields development.
