Most of the students nowadays are more focuses on playing online games and eating unhealthy foods like hum burgers, fried chicken, oily foods and junkfoods that can lead to sickness. Ratherthan walking every morning they are easily distracted, forgetting what is the essence of doing exercises in our everyday lives. Previous studies have shown that the amount of daily physical activity tends to decline from childhood to adolescence, and then into late teenage years and beyond. For example, only 0.04 percent of 9-year-olds engage in less than an hour of daily exercise, but the figure increases to 70 percent for 15-year-olds. And beyond the age of 15 kids become even more sedentary – and they tend to stay that way. Nine out of ten U.S. high school students aren't getting enough exercise, and their habits tend to persist beyond graduation, according to a recent study while kids who don't get enough exercise often face serious health issues later in life, including obesity, heart disease and diabetes. Part of the reason kids are not getting enough exercise may be due to the fact that only 29 percent of U.S. high schools have daily gym classes.
We all know that exercise is important in our daily lives, but we may not know why or what exercise can do for us. Exercise increases energy levels, it improves both the strength and the efficiency of your cardiovascular system to get the oxygen and nutrients to your muscles. When your cardiovascular system works better everything seems easier and you have more energy for the fun stuff in life. Exercise improves brain function because, it increases blood flow and oxygen levels in the brain. It also encourages the release of the brain chemicals (hormones) that are responsible for the production of cells in the hippocampus, the part of the brain that controls memory and learning. This, in turn, boosts concentration levels and cognitive ability, and helps reduce the risk of cognitive degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Exercise is good for your heart because, it reduces LDL cholesterol (the type that clogs your arteries), increases HDL (the good cholesterol) and reduces blood pressure so it lowers the stress on your heart. Added to this, it also strengthens your heart muscle. Combined with a healthy diet, exercise lowers the risk of developing coronary heart disease. Exercise enhances your immune system because, it improves your body’s ability to pump the oxygen and nutrients around your body that are required to fuel the cells that fight bacteria and viruses.
In this topic I want to promote exercising here at our school. As mentioned, this is important in our daily lives. This is really helpful for us students inorder to relieve stress, boost our self-steem and improve over all wellness that we can use to overcome the problems and prevent sicknesses in the future. We should impliment this in our school even one (1) hour per week, beacuse i believe that in every one hour of exercising per week can lessen the case of death because heart attack, other diseases, instead it can use to change our lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle especialy live longer and happier.
