Last year in 2020 the eighth graders at Wakefield Middle School were given access to their phones at lunch. This year that privilege is no longer in place and we want to change that. Having phones at lunch would give students a break from their school day as well as give them an opportunity to get each other's socials in order to socialize outside of school. This would also give students a window to check in with their parents if need be.
