Over the past few units of Year 10 science, Mr F has consistently taught in a manner inconsistent with the high standards of our school. He has received very little class engagement and has frequently conveyed assessment information completely inconsistent with the other Year 10 science teachers.

For example, the first stage of our Global Systems unit saw us analyse the way in which the media discusses climate change. Unlike all other Year 10 Science teachers, Mr F told us that we had to complete this formally assessed analysis prior to even beginning the unit, without the guidance of an assessment rubric, without a thorough task description, and, that we had to submit this piece while the vast majority of us were at a school camp. All of these decisions were made entirely by Mr F and disadvantaged our class alone.

Unfortunately, examples such as this have been all too common since he has begun teaching our class. I believe that I speak for all people in his science class when I say this: we have nothing against Mr F as a person, but as a teacher, he is simply not equipped to teach Year 10 Science.

With enough signatures hopefully we can convince our school to stop allowing Mr F to teach our Year 10 Science class.
