Save Senior Quotes in Edgewood High School's Yearbook

Yearbook adviser Mr. Robert Axsiom, with the support of Edgewood High School's principal, Mr. Dirk Ackerman made a controversial decision concerning our yearbook that will affect more than just the yearbook staff. They mandated that our 2017-2018 yearbook will not include senior quotes for the first time in years. Not only will this decision rob the senior class of their final opportunity to bring their individuality into the yearbook, it will also potentially reduce the funds that are necessary to create the yearbook for upcoming years. After reading quotes from Edgewood alumni, many current seniors have spent their entire high school career looking forward to finally having the chance to express themselves through their own senior quote. With so many disappointed seniors, it is very possible that the number of yearbooks being sold this year could go down tremendously, leaving next year's staff members with a disadvantage from the get-go.
Although our principal and adviser seem to be fully decided on the removal of senior quotes, it is our job to change their minds. Staff voices alone cannot make a change. However, if we all come together as one our voices will not go unheard. By signing this petition you bring us one more step toward the goal of saving our senior quote tradition.
