Petition to Stafford Board of Education

As parents, residents and taxpayers, we are angered, saddened, confused, and extremely concerned about recent decisions made by Mr. Chidiac and the Stafford Township Board of Education. More than thirty (30) of our amazing and dedicated teachers and staff are being involuntary transferred for no apparent good reason. As parents, we are concerned that this is NOT in the best interest of our children or our teachers, as Mr. Chidiac and the BOE are trying to make us believe. The majority of these involuntary transfers are highly effective teachers who have taught in their assigned grades for years. They have dedicated countless hours to trainings and professional development to become the best at what they do. These teachers know better than anyone else, including Mr. Chidiac and the BOE, the children in their assigned grades, what their learning & social needs are and how to meet those needs. How can pulling these dedicated teachers from positions they've excelled at and having them essentially start from scratch be in the best interest of our children? And as residents and taxpayers, we have a right to know how our tax dollars are being spent. All of these involuntary transfers will obviously require our tax dollars to fund the countless hours of training, outside of the classroom, that these teachers will require to be retrained. Again, how is this in the best interest of our children and teachers? We are insisting that our voices be heard and are petitioning Mr. Chidiac and the Stafford Township Board of Education, to reconsider these involuntary transfers.
