Closing Bathroom Doors

The bathroom doors should be closed because it is an invasion of privacy to many of the students at William H. Farquhar Middle School. As soon as the bathroom doors were forced to stay open, many students started to complain about the invasion of privacy. With the bathroom doors open, this allows anyone to look inside which many people are not comfortable with. As quoted by the MCPS code of conduct, "A student’s privacy will be respected by school staff" which justifies that if a student wants their privacy in the bathroom, it should be given to them. As quoted by student Charlotte Kostka, "I don't want to have to worry about people judging me when I go to the bathroom." Students are not happy with this change, and we are not happy with the fact that our privacy is not being respected.
