The government in parliament has decided to laugh at the beauty industry .

ill let that sink in.... 

Clearly they need to be educated in what we bring to the general public as well at the necessity of what we do.

Us therapists are not just "massage parlours" as parliament put it ,but a counsel,  a friendly face , someone to talk to. we help people unload and unwind mentally and physically.  We play a huge role in mental health for the general public. I have spoken to a few people and the first thing they want is a massage to relieve their stress over the last few months .

don't let us be laughed at in parliament ! we deserve better understanding.

oh did I mention that the beauty industry contributes  £28.4 billion to the nations economy in 2018 alone?  And £6.6 billion of that is physically massage/ facials/ etc... It supports 590,500 jobs in 2018 that's one in sixty working in this sector and contributed £7 billion in uk tax revenues in 2018. 

We are one of the more medically clean industries with strict cleanliness guidelines and can be as sanitary ,if not better than hospitals.

i ask that you open our industry up to start letting the nation feel good again, to get that little bit of downtime away from the outside world. Let us therapists start helping the nation and the country to heal.
