Changes need to happen for the welfare of adults and families with learning disabilities in England, who receive a very poor service from Adult Social Care Teams and Care Providers, using Tax Payers money.

My daughter, lives in a single Supportive Living Placement in Kent.  She has a learning disability, is on the autistic spectrum and query ADHD.  During lockdown, she was not seen as part of my bubble, by her care provider, only staff, her mental health deterioated and she had to be prescribed anti- psychotic medication?  I have had to fight to be part of her bubble, by myself, the local authority did not take any responsibility, giving power to the care provider?  This experience, also had an impact on my mental health. In the end I had to make several complaints, one to the local authority highlightling they failed their legal duties under the Care Act 2014, and another one about the care providers for not meeting my daughters needs, and basic human rights.

I had to do this all alone, and it is time for change.  How many families, went through a similiar experience?  Please support me to lobby the government to have an Adults Commissioner for people with Disabilities in England.
