I want a better education and an alternative education choice should be available by right. I strongly disagree with current mainstream education and it’s affects on children’s mental health. I also should not need to move four hours away from my support network where I live to access this education

I have had nothing but positive experiences from my association with a Steiner school and I fully support the Steiner Waldorf education system. More importantly I want to exercise my right to choose what type of educational system I want for my children.

My son currently attends the Kindergarten at Beechtree Steiner Initiative in Leeds UK and when I look at how very capable, present and socially responsible he and his classmates are, I have hope for the future (and the anxieties I have about the world we are creating for the next generation are somewhat soothed, because they will be able to bring the fresh perspective, action and enthusiasm needed to heal it!)
