We the respective mana whenua, wish to exercise our chieftainship.

We are a movement of the people of Wahia-ngarua who are not happy with the authority that Te whakakitenga o waikato , Te arataura, and Te Tari o te kingitanga have over us. With further research to search for our iwi entity, we have come to the conclusion that these 3 entities are the incorporated reprensentation for all of Waikato - Tainui (not the non-profit organisation Waikato - Tainui).

We wish to speak on our own behalf and we wish to inform that our rights to our whenua and wai are not bound by the legal representations of these entities. We do not Contract , we do not consent.

We wish to bring our matters of concern to our marae, our kiingitanga and all our Haukainga.

Our principles of this movement is based on Tikanga maori and will follow these processes.

We are currently in wananga at Te Huinga o nga wai and we respectfully ask these incorporated entities to formally respond to letters that have been sent to and received by Turangawaewae committee and Te tari o te Kiingitanga.

We are not here to step on toes, instead we ask for more haukainga involvement and to come to a mutual understanding with our people.

We are the movement of the people, we are haukainga of Wahia-ngarua. We believe this is the original establishment plans that our tupuna set for us and we believe we can make changes for the betterment of all our people. I raro i te manaakitanga o te kiingitanga.
