None of us are gonna finish it by Friday so we may as well beg for an extension. If you've already finished then just roll with it bud.

One might claim that the two snow days we received should have allowed us to finish the paper on time, but no, we all know that was not the case. Rather than giving us ample time to write, those two days perpetuated the lethargic feeling of Christmas break and made it much more difficult to sit down and write. If we had had school those days, the natural hustle and bustle would quickly put us back in the proper mindset to finish the paper. Since we did not, it is clear that we are simply the victims of circumstance and should be coddled with the greatest care lest our mental health deteriorate.

Ergo...push back the due date.
