On Monday, I was in my study hall as per usual, when we got abruptly moved from the commons area to the playhouse. I have expressed my concerns in the past with difficulty working in the theater but the playhouse has guaranteed no work to be done. It is very difficult to complete my work without proper seats and a table. With seats and round tables we are provided more space for multi-use projects, meanwhile the playhouse only offers me enough space and arm room for my Chromebook. Additionally the playhouse is very small in comparison to the commons area which results in the students being squished together, many students have discussed there concern on how claustrophobic the environment is which affects students work ethic. With being clumped together students that still attempt to work aren't able to because of how loud it is in the room. Another major concern that has arisen is that the room is very hot and because of this students cannot concentrate because of how hot they feel.  Another issue that arises because of all of these factors is many students use study hall as a re-energizing period and because of the round tables they were easily able to rest up and take a nap before there next class. Since it is virtually impossible to sleep in the playhouse because of how uncomfortable it is and many students have actually fallen asleep in classes after study hall because they did not sleep in study hall. All in all many students depend on study hall as a break from their rigorous schedule of clubs, sports, and classes after school and need study hall in order to finish working, but many students are not able to work so the question at hand is when will do it?
