As the parents of the 8th grade students, we request a change of time for the graduation and dance due to many of the parents not being able to attend due to work. In addition, the rain date would not work as it is the same day as the senior prom and would create conflict for those of us who have students in both grades. There is also concern over the time of the dance. These children are looking forward to and more than deserve this, considering all they have gone through during their middle school years. This is not a normal group of students who have attended a normal middle school due to the circumstances. They should has a semi formal like every other local time school During the evening hours. If you could please push back the graduation and dance by a couple hours this would be a tremendous help to many of the working parents and would make the Students who are graduating eighth grade very happy and give them the proper goodbye and welcome to high school.
