Provide Changing Places toilets at all motorway service stations

Half a million people with physical and/or learning disabilities cannot use standard disabled toilets because they cannot walk or stand. They need support from one or two carers to use the toilet or to have their incontinence pad changed.
Standard disabled toilets do not provide changing benches or hoists to lift the person on to the toilet or bench. Most are too small to accommodate more than one person. Without 'Changing Places' toilets, the person with disabilities is put at risk, and families/carers are forced to risk their own health and safety by lying their loved one on a dirty toilet floor.
This is dangerous, unhygienic, humiliating and undignified. We take it for granted that we would not change a baby on the floor of a public toilet - so why on earth is this acceptable for disabled adult people?

We all take it for granted that we can use the toilet at a motorway service station. However, currently there are only 5 service stations out of 100+ in the country which have Changing Places facilities. Moto have 2. Roadchef have 0.
The provision of these toilets in public places would make a dramatic difference to the lives of thousands of people who desperately need these facilities. They would have the option to travel by road instead of staying at home because there are no suitable toilets en route.
Motorway services have dog drinking stations, massage chair areas, plenty of plugs for electric cars. However thousands of people are discriminated against as their basic human rights are not met. Yet at services stations there is a vast array of money making food and drink retail outlets!
It is a commercial opportunity because as we know disabled do not travel alone. They are with their families, friends, special schools and day centres. Therefore it would not just be 1 person using the loo. The travelling group would make a conscious decision to stop there and buy lunch etc.
Since last summer Welcome Break have installed 5 Changing Places. The other operators have installed none.
Please sign this petition to show service stations that in today's modern day and age everybody should be entitled to this basic human right.
