Dispute the Tear off ban in motocross
This petition had 1,850 supporters
The tear off's ban is putting motocross riders at risk. Concern about injury has been raised by riders and officials since implementation of this rule and is predicted to rise. The role off systems do not with stand the impacts of roosts from other bikes and when the system breaks meters of strengthened plastic comes out, it can potentially throw people from bikes cause neck and eye injuries. In wet conditions these smear and significantly reduce visibility. Environmental issues are at the base of the decision, yet biodegradable tear offs are available. It seems the decision to implement this change has come with no consideration to rider safety. Please get behind the motocross community before someone is seriously injured as a result of this forced rule and put some pressure on the governing bodies to make an exemption until they can sort out a safer alternative!!
