Petitioning Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA)

Withdraw support for SOPA-Internet censorship bill.

SOPA is new legislation currently in Congress which threatens Internet privacy. If passed, it would forever change the Internet for the worse. I have no issue with publishers of books and music who wish to see an end to "Online Piracy", but this legislation goes too far. It is like using a sledgehammer to kill a fly. In addition to being disruptive to legitimate Internet users like myself, I am offended that this is what Congress is wasting their time and our tax dollars on. The Republican controlled congress was voted into office upon the pledge that they would try to create jobs and fix the economy. They've been in office for over a year and I have yet to see any evidence of it.
