Rapes, mob lynching, discrimination, police brutality, no entry in the villages and forests and not allowed to purchase houses in city- this is the plight of around 20% of the Indian population, many of whom still carry the stigma of being Criminal Tribes. The tribes scattered across the country are still living a life of second class citizens without the security from the law for them, despite facing similar threats from the society and the government. If these tribes are included in the yet to be framed (new) Prevention of Atrocity Act, at least, they can fight to get the justice. In the current scenario they are not protected under any law that protects their fundamental rights. Please sign this petition, so that the Government of India, could be approached and a pressure is build on the lawmakers to think on these most marginalized tribes and communities of India. Act Now.
