Pedestrian crossing across all major roads to ensure safety of road users

Pedestrian crossings across National and State highways as well as major roads within the city limits are neither planned with care and concern for pedestrians nor insisted upon by local authorities.
As a result hundreds of pedestrians and cyclists, every hour, are forced to cross the roads by putting their own safety in danger. Many times fatal accidents take place resulting into severe damage to life and vehicles as well.
In our country, government will not act unless the citizens demand their right to safety on road? NEVER!
Therefore, we are now requesting Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Honourable Minister, MORTH, NHAI, state PWDs and local governments to take immediate action to provide required infrastructure to ensure pedestrian safety and convenience.
