Will Ross started this petition to Morristown Town Council

Morristown has an ordinance forbidding anyone over the age of 14 “to ride or use any bicycle, skateboard, roller blades, scooter or similar devices upon any sidewalk within the Town of Morristown, except for the delivery of newspapers or merchandise.” As a skateboarder this ordinance makes no sense due to the fact that skateboards are much smaller than bikes they take up just as much space as any ordinary person takes up just walking along the sidewalk. There is an obvious stigma against skateboarding in Morristown almost everyday me and my friends are harassed by the local cops and threatened with this ordinance, skateboarding is not a crime and shouldn’t be treated like one. Skateboards are available in countless stores across the world why should using them be treated like a crime?
