Wednesday's Daily Mail featured a sizeable advert for Morrisons just before 4 pages of attacks on a dead man. Papers like the Daily Mail rely on advertising from big companies like Morrisons. By getting companies like Morrisons to stop advertising in the Daily Mail, we can hit their profits.
The Daily Mail is continuing its attacks on a dead WWII veteran, a Jew who fled the Nazis. They've said they will only apologise for printing a photo of Ralph Miliband's grave and for sending reporters under cover to a family memorial event. Whether you like Ed Miliband or not, no one should have their dead parent's memory dragged into the media spotlight in this way.
Lets tell Morrisons what we think of their marketing decisions! Does Morrisons really want to be associated with this immature, hate-filled rhetoric? Wouldn't they be better off spending their advertising account with someone more respectable? We know campaigns like this work (remember the News of the World?). Big companies are rightly terrified of getting their brands contaminated by associating with these sorts of journalists.
