Replace plastic bags provided for groceries with paper bags in Morrisons supermarkets

A lot of the plastic we use and consume on a day-to-day basis is unnecessary, and most of this unnecessary plastic comes from supermarkets. The 5p bag charge is encouraging people to switch from wasteful plastic bags, to more environmentally friendly reusable bags. What good is this, though, if all the groceries we buy in the supermarket are packaged in the same cheap plastic? Furthermore, even the fruits and vegetables that don't come in any plastic packaging, end up in plastic anyway, as the bags provided are plastic too.

With the current statistic that there will soon be more plastic in the ocean than fish, organisations in a position of power need to take responsibility for the waste they are producing.

I would love to see the plastic bags used for groceries in supermarkets, such as Morrisons, to be completely reduced, and replaced with sustainable, environmentally friendly, paper bags, and for a huge reduction in plastic used in the packaging of groceries.
