Morisset high school
When you interrupt a girl's school day just to force us to change clothes, send us home because our shorts are too shorts, bra straps are too visible, our track pants or our tights/leggings are too disrupting. You're telling us that making sure boys and teachers have a "distraction free" environment is more important than our education.
Instead of shaming us for our bodies, teach boys and teachers that girls are not sexual objects.
Not all families can afford official school uniform for both boys and girls yet we're expected to live up to their expectations by going by their rules for uniform not even being able to wear a jumper with a small logo without getting a detention/suspension warning the fact that they are more worried about what we wear than what kids are doing to each other for example the bullying the fights creating an unsafe environment and teachers refusing to let kids go to the toilet and teachers treating kids like they are worthless and any time someone tells the deputy principle about what a teacher says to them or if they are being bullied the deputy principle changes the subject to about what the kids are wearing or when a parent calls with concerns about their child's safety regarding bullying and harassment the schools response is to completely ignore said issue and change the subject to be about your child wearing white socks to school
So myself as a student of Morisset high school would like to encourage your support to get our school to actually support our education and assist keeping us safe rather than be more concerned about what we wear
Yes I agree we wear a school shirt and appropriate pants but a kid wearing tights or black pants shouldn't get you into more trouble than a kid fighting someone on the oval
