Get rid of the G

Get rid of the G
Why this petition matters

Down Dayboro Road, across from Lake Kurwongbah there’s a pumping station. It is linked to the important boom of infrastructure throughout the post war period. It was built in 1957 and was an integral part the than, Cartonboard Mill at Petrie. This was the biggest industrial endeavour in South Queensland after the First War and before World War Two. This Pumping Station was apart of the foundation for Petrie and surrounding shires. It was also apart of the Rivers water scheme and still helps pump the water from the dam. Although it has been fully computerised, meaning it no longer requires man power to run it. The dam still stands as one of the biggest parts of Brisbane’s (outer suburbs) history.
For at over a decade the G on the end of the word “pumping” has been missing. But due to the recent construction at the dam the G has been returned, this is my petition to GET THE G REMOVED. Please follow me on this journey of returning this local landmark back to the Pumpin station. Thank you :)
