PARAMOUNT JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB ACKNOWLEDGED

The signage at Hosken Reserve, Merlynston, Coburg, Victoria states who the ground is home to now, however, the ground was originally the home of the Paramount Junior Football Club between the 1960's and late 90's. The pavilion at the ground was built using funds raised by Paramount families via many fundraising activities including raffles, sausage sizzles, tin rattling, the sponsoring of bricks, and donations from families involved in the Club. Hundreds of players and their families have wonderful memories of childhood times at the ground, sitting behind (what was) the Merlynston Primary School. The acknowledgement of the ground being "The former home of the Paramount Junior Football Club" would note the importance the Club played in the facility families are enjoying now, and remember those, some no longer with us, who played such an important role in it's development.
