With the deadline for the cost of tuition approaching, it is understood that many students are still working on figuring out how they will pay for college or waiting on anticipated scholarships to come through. The deadline is July 20th; however, many scholarships do not come through until August or early September. This petition aims to get the students who need this extension to express their support and advocate for the deadline to be pushed back to August to, at the very least, give students more time to prepare. Moving the deadline back mitigates the stress associated with paying tuition and will limit the number of students that may be "purged" or dropped from their classes. I understand how overwhelming this time is, which is why it is of paramount importance to speak up to give you and your brothers more time to figure things out. The plan is to show administration how many students are affected by this and are in support of this initiative. There is strength in numbers!
