Hamilton Ontario has been suffering a drug use epidemic for years now. Go to any public bathroom with a needle box and see how, the floor and sinks are still covered in needles, especially downtown.

Go to any public park, or building with a garden in the front. You WILL find needles.

Why is this okay? Why does Doug Ford think that this is an acceptable status quo?

These people are our fellow Hamiltonians, but above that, fellow humans and need our help and deserve our respect and sympathy.

I pose that Doug Ford, the Premier of Ontario Canada, lead the fight to support the victims of opioid addiction, by adding more supervised injection sites in downtown Hamilton and hopefully the rest of Ontario when they prove themselves to work and be the effective method we know they are.

"Ontario reported 2,425 opioid-related deaths last year, and the overdose death rate in the city of Hamilton was 34 per cent higher than the rest of the province." - Global news.

Hamilton deserves better, but we all have to fight for it. Being content and saying things like "This is just reality" that mentality doesn't save people, it takes them.

So to Mr. Ford I plead to you to be the leader we need you to be. Ontario needs you. Please step up to the plat and prove to us that you actually care. Please.
