1 in 3 women experience BV at least once in their life. Many do not know that they even have this. Others are struggling daily to find a long term solution for this internal problem. Due to the fact that it’s uncomfortable to talk about, or out of embarrassment Bacterial Vaginosis is swept under the rug or never discussed. I  know what it’s like to have reoccurring BV, I have struggled to find something that works for a year now and have found nothing. I never thought that I would be here. I have protected myself, been leading a better lifestyle, seen gynecologist and taken all the antibiotics and misleading treatments you can think of and nothing can tame this internal beast called BV. The saddest part is years before this was years before this I went to get tested for STD’s and STI’s and herpes. Everything came back negative and I never heard anything about BV. But after listening to my body and getting a pap smear my life has changed forever. I am here today because there’s needs to be more information on BV, I’d never heard of it before I got it, I self-diagnosed before seeing a doctor because regardless of what the tests said I knew something was up. The Pap smear confirmed that. There needs to be better medication for this there’s no way thousands of women are suffering and there’s no one to figure out why and what really works. Lastly there needs to be an overall understanding that this is affecting lives all over and even women who are abstaining from sex. It’s time that we all get the help we need and not have our pockets strained for temporary relief. There’s a vaccine for COVID, something that “came out 2 years ago” where is the treatment for the internal plague that has been sweeping across the world.
