Since the pandemic started and even before the pandemic started ECE workers had not the chance to receive more than 2-to 3 paid sick leaves. Throughout the pandemic, ECEs are being burnt out and having second thoughts about leaving their jobs. They have been risking their health and lives to do what they love most and yet haven’t received any more paid sick days. Early childhood educators should get the opportunity in receiving more than two paid sick days. Two paid sick days aren't enough for ECE workers to recover and relax and can’t take any chances of taking more time off because their pay isn’t enough to pay most of their bills. Imagine working during the pandemic with children and barely any paid sick days to recover if they did get exposed, how are they supposed to recover and get back to work and stay in good health. Early Childhood Educators deserve and need more paid sick days to be able to recover. Early Childhood Educators deserve more than 2 paid sick days they need at least 10 paid sick days and we need all of your support to bring awareness to this issue so we can make there and our voices heard and fight for Early Childhood Educators who deserve more paid sick days so they can be able to do what they love the most.
