The arts have always been a big part of my life and I know it's the same for others. Whether it be band, theater, or choir, it always seems that funding that could possibly be used to improve the mentioned areas better ends up going to sports. For example, my school recently just built a new gym which cost 16.4 million dollars. Some of that money could have been used to renovate areas of the art building with the dance, band, choir, and theater rooms. I understand that we did need to have a new gym but why did it have to cost 16.4 million dollars?
