Think again on Elgin parking management Moray Council
This petition had 294 supporters
At its meeting of the Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee on 31st October 2017 Moray Councillors took the decision to make a number of changes to car parking in Elgin.
Whilst some of these changes are welcome and could encourage more trade in the Town Center many of them will have a negative impact and the changes in general will do nothing to address the chronic issue with regards to on street parking around the town center which blights the life of residents and workers alike.
In particular the addition of charges at the Train Station in Elgin will both penalise hard working commuters and put additional strain on surrounding residential streets by displacing from their current location in the car park.
This petition calls on Moray Councillors to think again on this decision and encourages them to request a comprehensive review to car parking in the town that takes into consideration the needs of business, travelers and residents alike.
