Sanaa Beaufort is a Muslim student at North Penn Highschool in Pennsylvania, who is a great student, a loving friend, and very active in her community. For the past several months, two white girls have been harassing her, even calling her the n word, and when they were reported, nothing was done. Sanaa was recently walking through her cafeteria and the two girls jumped her and ripped off her hijab, she fought back, but was forced to walk through hundreds of students without it, and forced into a private room with two men she didn’t know, without a headdress. Because she fought back, the school suspended her (eventually lifting it), and now the District Attorney Kevin Steele is charging her for 3rd degree assault and disorderly conduct. This is blatant Islamiphobia and racism. Stand with Sanaa and call for DA Steele to resign immediately.
