Montgomery County Commissioners and Norristown Municipal Council: Stop the Subsidized Housing Project in Downtown Norristown
Historian Michael Tolle posts three-part Blog on the "Pennrose affair"
Dec 14, 2013 — The Norristown Nudge wants to thank those of you living and working in Central Montgomery County who stood up and signed either the "paper petition", or this on-line version. With your help we have all but stopped the development of the County parcel at the corner of DeKalb and Airy Streets in Norristown. The state funding was pulled (for this year) and we believe your support opened our elected officials' eyes to the fact that people DO care about the types of projects and uses that get proposed for their communities.
Michael Tolle's blog is extraordinary! It can be found at:
We highly recommend folks read it and take his message as a warning that The Norristown Nudge and other grass-roots organizations need peoples' support. Come attend one of our Saturday morning meetings, or "like" us at our Facebook page. Next up is helping with downtown Norristown's revitalization through the Arts.
