As concerned parents, students, and members of the Monroe NJ community, we feel that everyone deserves the FREEDOM and the CHOICE to their education. Some parents do not feel safe sending their child to school with the ongoing COVID-19 and Omnicron situation; while others feel that that their students should be at school for better learning. Both parents should be allowed to do as they see fit; therefore we are asking the Monroe Township Board of Education to allow the option for individual student selection of either remote or in-person learning should be allowed from now on; as it was in the previous year. 

In this way both groups compromise and reach the outcome they want with no downsides. This is a nonpartisan petition that both groups should agree on. What is the harm to students that wish to go to in-person learning if some of their peers decide to learn remotely; and vice versa; what is the harm to students learning remotely; if some of their fellow students decide to go to school in-person?
