Molson/Coors have recent announced that they are retiring several of their budget beer brands to produce and sell more “premium” or as I’d like to think expensive beers for their consumers. I have been rocking the Hamm’s special light for a few years now and it’s honestly become my favorite light beer. Very drinkable and good quality for an excellent price. I’m sure there are people reading this that can agree with me that some of these brands they are dropping will be sorely missed. I think this a terrible business move in their part, and a bit of a slap in the face to their customers. Why not keep costs down on production and sell higher numbers instead of producing an experimental product sold at a premium price that may not catch on anyway? I see this as ego and trying to keep up with the times, but I truly believe that the coors and molson demographic isn’t looking for any of that. There is a time a be a place for every beer and when I want just a nice easy drinking light beer, Hamm’s was my go to choice. Any time anyone saw me drinking one they commented on it and asked me questions about it. So I’d give them one and everyone that has tried it has agreed that it is/was a refreshing, session ready, and affordable beer. Please consider keeping this classic around, it has a long history and I’ve only been able to enjoy it for the last 5-6 years maybe. It was under my radar… but I am putting it on BLAST now fir the world to see. Scream it’s almighty name from the rooftops, sign the petition, and let’s keep this wonderful brew alive. Thank you.
