On October 25th, 2013.

Mojang released the 1.7.2 update, which saw the change of numerous different things in the game.

Notably the "Red Flower" Or "Rose Flower" Was changed to be the "Poppy"

Or by technicality, the "Rose Bush" Was added, which is a 2 block tall bush of roses. As the name suggests.

For as long as I can remember the Red Flower was my favorite, I always had one in my house on a grass block, or outside my house. Just a little rose was the best flower at the time for me.

But Mojang had made the change to remove/altar the flower. 

And I and a lot of other people would like to petition to get the old flower texture added back to the game.

The best way this could go is that Mojang realizes that people are passionate about this, and just add another flower to the game.

I hold no personal grudge against them, I just would really love it if they added the old flower texture back as a new one.
