Ms. Pender is a PE and Lifetime Wellness teacher. She is disliked by pretty much all the students here at Nashville School of the Arts. She doesn’t care about students well-being and she uses outdated curriculum that makes the majority of students uncomfortable mentally and physically. She doesn’t treat us with any respect. She sometimes will not even allow students to get water before exercising, which happened to me today. 

 She also is extremely ableist. Ive had her for my entire time at NSA and she never offers help to disabled children or makes any accommodations. She also does not value our mental health at all. Even if a student is having a mental breakdown and crying she refuses to let them sit out and makes them speak for themselves even when they are clearly in distress.

 We deserve a better PE teacher here so that students here don't dread going to her class, and actually willingly participate and enjoy the class. Ms Pender is a sad excuse for a teacher and makes us all uncomfortable.
