PETITION AGAINST EXCESS WAYLEAVES ISSUED IN WARD 99

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

We, the residents of Linden and surrounds, would like to petition against any further way leaves being issued that dig up and destroy our already compromised pavements and sidewalks.

None of the fibre companies, or Egoli Gas, nor their various sub-contractors, have restored the pavements to their previous condition. It has been almost impossible to walk in Linden for the last year, and extremely dangerous in some instances.

We wish to voice our objection to any further companies digging again, besides of course, basic municipal infrastructure repairs or upgrades. Surely one fibre supplier per suburb is sufficient? We also want all contractors to adhere to all of the city bylaws, and for this to be monitored and enforced.

We wish to, as a community, restore and beautify our suburb, and maintain it going forward. The community has rallied together to this aim.
