“We BELIEVE that such a rash and drastic move as the ratification of a UNIVERSAL Designated Hitter rule would be DETRIMENTAL to such foundational principles as line-up strategy and a DISHONOR to the rich history (PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE) of OUR national pastime!

“What a time to consider such a move?!? MANY young fans today (AROUND the world) idolize a young Japanese hitter/pitcher by the name of Ohtani. (Who has done AMAZING things never seen in this game since the likes of Babe Ruth)?!?

“The GREAT Bambino is rolling around in his grave, RIGHT now, as I write this sentence (BECAUSE this close-off UNIVERSAL Designated Hitter discussion is happing RIGHT NOW, as I write this)...”
