Why this petition matters

Earlier today, the New York Post sports desk broke the news that MLB Network has fired reporter Ken Rosenthal over his criticism of MLB commissioner Rob Manfred after analyzing Manfred’s handling of the 2020 season, which was impacted and put in jeopardy due to the COVID-19 pandemic in columns written for The Athletic.

At that time, Rosenthal was suspended and kept off the air with pay for three months and since his suspension, he has been a regular fixture on the network and it's various programs, appearing most recently just a few weeks ago, according to the article published by the Post.

This is an absolutely horrible move by MLB Network, as Ken Rosenthal is one of the best and most reliable baseball reporters out there. Even though he has been fired by MLBN, he will continue working for FOX and The Athletic. Over the last year,  MLB Network has let go several of their on air personalities and today, they added one more to that list. This is not fair, because as stated earlier, Ken is one of the best baseball journalists out there.

I hope you will join me in petitioning MLB Network to #FreeKen by reinstating him as a reporter and analyst on their channel. Thank you for taking the time to sign this petition.
