I’m signing because offering a pass fail is our right as paying customers to the company that is pace university. This is not a place of education, pace is a business.

While I personally wouldn't be able to choose Pass Fail this semester anyway, I do agree that it should be an option for those that need it. Virtual Learning is a real challenge, especially when we've grown accustom to learning in one particular way, in person throughout my our educational experience up to this year. I have been able to make the adjustment, however I can understand how difficult it can be. If I were taking more difficult courses at the moment I would be doing far worse because the tutoring opportunities available in person compared to online is vastly different.

The workload is so much more extreme than it was in person on top of a pandemic going on.

Despite the difference in circumstances this semester, it's still being treated as if we are attending normal classes. And if anything I feel like classes is more difficult, with a lot more work. Professors aren't taking into consideration that just because we are at home doesn't mean we have extra and or free time. Working constantly is draining especially with what the world looks like right now. Being inside your apartment or dorm and having to constantly sit in front of the computer all day is not fun. I know from talking to so many different people at Pace that they are not only burnt out but are trying to just keep up. The relationships between faculty and students don't feel the same and feel more strained than ever. I don't feel a genuine connection with some of my professors, and I feel like they are even harder on us. It's frustrating to have to be at Pace this semester, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here as of right now.

This pandemic has been an extremely difficult time for all of us in so many ways. It is challenging trying to adapt to this completely new learning style. It feels like we are not even in real classes because the professors rush through their power-points and call that a class. We are basically forced to teach ourselves everything, and it is not easy. In my situation, it has really taken a toll on my mental and physical health. I have been so overwhelmed by classwork, exams, and papers that I either want to shut down or develop other unhealthy coping mechanisms. Even the tutors at the tutoring center did not understand the material I was trying to teach myself. I understand professors have lives and other classes, but it also is no help when they do not answer emails. We are all trying our best to succeed, but our efforts are not being acknowledged. It feels impossible to teach myself something that I already do not understand, and even with all of the resources provided, it is nowhere near the same as an in-person class.

We are not being supported, this time is incredibly trying but I feel like Pace want to secure that I pay as opposed to my health and well-being.
