Reschedule MBSE Board Exams 2022 to a later date
The students of class 10 and 12 encourage the board members of MBSE to revise the scheduling of the board exams 2022, on account of the massive climb in the number of covid positive cases recently, as well as the inadequate time for preparation. It is in their best interest to delay said exams, in order to secure their future, to ensure the safety and welfare of the students and staff, and in turn the citizens of Mizoram.
Schools were reopened only very recently and in addition, classroom teachings have not been able to yield optimal benefits for the students owing to the need to follow certain protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Consequently, the completion of science experiments and practicals has to be rushed, resulting in a lack of comprehension and actual understanding amongst students.
This is especially detrimental to Class 12 students and their academic performance in general, as their practical exams will commence in mid February. Moreover, postponing the exam dates will prove to be advantageous for different kinds of students; For instance, slower students who need more time to become well versed in certain subjects, or even the students who, unfortunately slacked off the whole year as they were under the spell of the lockdown-gloom. Afterall, everyone deserves a second chance, and the aforementioned postponement will surely drive up the state's academic performance as a whole. But most importantly, the students' performance in this exam will decide their future; So it is crucial that they are given a fair amount of time for preparation.
As such, the students of class 10 and class 12 are making an appeal for the postponement of the board exams to the Mizoram Board of School Education.
