The improvement of individuals quality of life on an individual level
For years I’ve been trying to figure out a solution to some of our nations most challenging social issues.
After years of having an opportunity to play at opposite ends of the spectrum as a black american who understands black Americans struggle and has contributed to the activism of black communities I also have to empathize with the struggles of all cultures. I have concluded that it is time we put an end to the racial divisiveness that is being created in our communities.
These racially charged conversations are contributing to the continued divide in America and are hindering us all from tackling the real issues communities and individuals face today.
No longer can we simply blame white supremacy for black American communities. It is time that we stop dumping our problems on someone else and start facing them.
It is time that we end the hate, the race, the shame, the blame, and victimization culture that we have created here. Although none of us founded America we are all responsible for it today.
By signing this petition we are showing political figures, and other local, National, and international leaders why they should partner with us in bringing new solutions to the American people that will help improve Each individuals quality of life. That’s what these arguments and these cries are all about, people wanting to improve their quality of life.
Conversations are the start for breaking down barriers. When we choose to first listen attentively, we can then begin to understand the problems that divide us all.
We’re living in a world where there is a lot of pain. People are dying, people are living in poverty, people are becoming ill, no matter the social or economic class people are looking for love and to be loved. One thing is for sure. We all need healing. Many of us may not even be aware of what or how we can heal ourselves , but it starts now, with us. It starts with us holding ourselves accountable. It starts with us being patient with one another, it starts with us being transparent with one another, it starts with us being compassionate with one another, and It starts with us being open to love.
Im grateful that as a black American from the same community as Muhammad Ali, I’ve been welcomed in rural white communities, where I was taught to be afraid of these same areas because of the KKK. These white men and women, these white families have welcomed me into their homes, shared their meals and their finances, and prayed over me as I’ve continued this journey around the country.
I am convinced this racial divide exist because we keep it alive and today I am asking you to join me in helping it die. We will do so through story telling and conversations. We will do so by challenging ourselves now and our government later.
I am asking that you all help me request a conversation with Dream Defenders, Black Lives Matter, former Tallahasse Florida Mayor Andrew Gillum, former United States President Barack Obama for starters.
These people have been very instrumental in American culture within the most recent years and some of these people have contributed or allowed the silencing of my voice amid my efforts to challenge their leadership around these issues.
I have single handedly spoken to hundreds if not thousands of people since November telling my story, from Kentucky to Florida, Florida to Virginia, Virginia to Vegas, California and everywhere in between.
If you are one of those people I shared with I want to thank you for listening to me. If you are one of those people that shared with me, I want to thank you for your wisdom, and your encouragement, I look forward to what our future holds.
