I'm Am a native of Louisiana who has lived in many different parts of LA, including Galliano, NOLA, Algiers, Gretna, Lafayette, but started out here in Golden Meadow and 5 years ago returned to my roots and my large family and many friends here! I'm signing this petition because I Care Deeply about Preserving our Heritage!

Why demolish historical monuments? Slavery? We would have to demolish 6 of the 7 wonders of the world.

New Orleans is my home town and I love New Orleans and it's history. No one can change or erase what happened in our history. We can however, remember it, so it may never happen again. Mr Landrieu, like a true deceitful politician is desiring to destroy our New Orleans history for political clout. I guess corrupted intentions just runs in the family!!!

I am signing because the monuments are a significant symbol of New Orleans history. If you do not learn from history, you are doomed to repeat it.

Crime is taking over New Orleans and you are more concerned about your political career than the City you are Mayor of.

Mr. Mayor you are out of your mind. Removing these glorious statues would be suicide for the City. Tourists love to come and see NOLA history. Embrace our history not erase it.
