Kansas City Police Chief Rick Smith conspired in police murder coverups, knowingly misled the public, and planted evidence on Black people. 

These are facts, verified by The Kansas City Star, The Kansas City Defender, and the Court of Law in the Cameron Lamb Case.

Under Rick Smith's reign, KCPD continues to violate human rights and commit "Crimes Against Humanity" as defined by the International Criminal Court.

While certainly not all-encompassing, these are a few of his crimes: 

1) Participated in planting evidence to cover up the murder of Cameron Lamb

2) Blocked Investigations into police brutality 

3) Protecting and still employing an officer found guilty of Armed Criminal Action and Manslaughter 

We The People of Kansas City will NOT accept this violent, racist ATTACK on our communities and families a moment longer.

Kansas City, MO Chief of Police Rick Smith has continually hindered the investigation and prosecution of his officers for Excessive Use of Force by not cooperating with investigating agencies, refusing to file probable cause statements against his officers, and stating he doesn’t believe his officers have done anything wrong, despit one of his detectives being found guilty of  Armed Criminal Action and Manslaughter and is facing a minimum of 3 years in prison.

Currently, there are FOUR KCPD Police Officers under Indictment for Excessive Force who are still employed by the City of Kansas City, MO Police Department. 

His LONG reign  of war against the Black community has gone on long enough. Our KCMO communities cannot and should not trust a police department with a Chief who refuses to hold his own officers accountable for their behavior but instead, forcefully works to protect violent police officers.
