Change the Missouri state flag for the bicentennial
Missouri is approaching a major milestone in its history: 200 years.
Why does Missouri need a new flag? Answer: Because it promotes state pride, tourism, the ECONOMY, and makes Missouri stand out from other states.
How does it change the economy, you may ask? Well, let me give you an example. The Colorado's state flag can be seen everywhere in terms of Colorado merchandise and apparel. This can also be said for places like New Mexico and California.
How will this happen? Well, all good flag referendums used alternative voting system. How this works is you get to rank your favorite choices in order from favorite to lease favorite. You can mark as many or as few options as you want. CGP Grey has an amazing video on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Y3jE3B8HsE
"Often when city leaders say 'we have more important things to do than worry about a city flag', my response is, 'if you had a great city flag, you would have a banner for people to rally under to face those more important things.'" -Ted Kaye
The license plate has already been changed for the bicentennial. Let's take that one step further, and give Missouri what is truly deserves: a new flag.
