Dogs are being chained in people’s backyards and forgotten. They get no exercise or socialization and when the finally break free from their chain, they go on other people’s property and kill their animals or attack their children! 

The owners are oblivious to the fact that their dogs are even loose until it’s too late. This is a cruel life for a dog and unfair to the citizens of the state that have to deal with chained animals that aren’t socialized.

The only action that can be taken against the pet owners is a civil lawsuit AFTER they’ve attacked and mauled your pets, even if they came into your yard, it’s not illegal if there is no leash law in your county. 

Mississippi needs to step up and pass leash laws for the entire state and limits to the time a dog can be chained up each day. 

Dogs are not status symbols to tie in your yard for decoration! These are dangerous animals when you don’t care for them properly!
