There are many reasons for making Daylight Savings Time permanent. It seems to make sense with more daylight. It's commonly believed that the time change in the spring is more severe than the time change in the fall, because in the spring, you lose an hour of sleep but that's not  true for most people.

Studies have found that people who preferred morning activities had a harder time transitioning out of DST than into it.

What are the reasons for Daylight Saving Time?

It shifts summer daylight to evening hours, when it can be enjoyed more. I think this is a good reason.
It saves energy, because people don’t use their lights as much in the evening. Back when lights were the main use of energy, I think this was a bigger justification.
It reduces accidents, because people are less likely to be driving in the dark.                            It keeps sunrise in a narrower range. Without DST, you either have the sun rising way too early in summer, or you have the sun rising way too late in the winter.

The ending of daylight savings time can cause not just mental health issues, but physical health issues such as more cardiac problems and stroke! Plus more depression and sleep deprivation has been reported!

Let’s keep our time on daylight savings time Mississippi!
