Missing Persons Safe Cities Act

Missing Persons Safe Cities Act
A young Indigenous woman's body was recently found after having been reported missing nearly 2 years ago. Her body was found in a vacant house on Vancouver's affluent Westside.
Indigenous women and girls are 12 times more likely to be murdered or missing than other Canadian women.
How is it possible in a city like Vancouver for this to happen? There is no requirement to check property. A City Bylaw or Provincial Statute requiring Property Owners to check their property's after a Missing Person alert has been issued to the public is needed. Within 24 hours the property would need to be checked by either the property owner or a representative. In Vancouver there is a Bylaw requiring Property Owners to remove snow and ice by 10am from their sidewalks, surely a Missing Person Bylaw or Act can be put in place.
