Miramichi City Council voted to demolish the Lindon Rec Centre at the end of 2021.  This building has been a part of Miramichi since 1967.  It is used on almost a daily basis, and hosts everything from bingo to farmers markets. 
The Newcastle Farmers Market helps support dozens of local businesses, and that money goes directly into our community.  An average of 300 - 500 people attend the Newcastle Farmers Market every week. 

The Rec Centre needs a new roof.  But the structure is in great shape.  It would be a huge loss to the community if this building is demolished.  Please sign this petition, and contact members of Miramichi City Council.  Tell them to change their decision on the destruction of this building.  Thank you so much for your help!
